Steve Maggi, a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center in 2001, began to counsel with our firm in 2021, when he moved his law practice to St. Petersburg after spending the previous decade in New York. Before that, Mr. Maggi practiced for 8 years in Buenos Aires, where he launched his U.S. immigration practice after working at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius for two years in Miami. 

Originally from Argentina, Mr. Maggi understands the roller coaster that is the U.S. immigration system after waiting nine years to eventually become a U.S. citizen. This experience inspired him to work with other immigrants to help them find solutions along their path to the American Dream. His practice encompasses the entire spectrum of visas, as well as representation at the U.S. embassies, and consulates around the world, with a specific focus on investment-based, business and entrepreneurial visas. To date, he has assisted people from over 70 different countries. Mr. Maggi is considered an expert in his field, with TV appearances on NBC, ABC, Fox, Telemundo, and other major networks.

Partnering with FL Patel Law has allowed Mr. Maggi to reach a wider range of international entrepreneurs than ever before, and our mutual clients are thankful for his knowledge and professional talent. Before launching his own firm, he was employed by law firms and immigration clinics across the country. Maggi is particularly proud of the time when, while still attending Georgetown, he won an asylum case for two citizens from Togo.
