FL Patel Law has helped me start my business and served as a wonderful reference to lean on when any legal manner or council and/or general advice was needed. There has always been multiple options put forward with pros and cons of each business decisions given. Kalpesh and his team are trustworthy and reliable. I like that I can shoot him an email and get a prompt response. Highly recommended. I’m glad they are on my team.
I used Kal instead of Legal Zoom for a LLC formation. I will never use Legal Zoom again. Thorough, personal service, Kal answers all your questions and, most importantly, asks you questions that you probably did not think about. It is important to get it right from the beginning.
Kal is professional, organized, friendly and is a wealth of knowledge for a start-up business. He helped me figure out how to launch my product the RIGHT way. He had step-by-step advice on how to take it from a prototype to selling it online. He also had advice on patent research and knew where to send me for SBA loans. I would highly recommend him as a business attorney. It’s better to have help at the beginning to make sure you do it right!

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long does the process take?
The process to convert your LLC typically takes anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.
2. Why is my state not in the dropdown menu?
In order to perform a statutory conversion, the Florida Statute requires that both state pass legislation that allows the LLC in the home state to convert to an LLC in a foreign jurisdiction. So if your state is not listed in our conversion list, then your LLC will need to use a different method to relocate the entity to the State of Florida. Schedule a consultation to discuss your options.
3. Once I Convert my LLC to the State of Florida will it keep the same EIN number?
Yes, your LLC will have the same EIN number, credit, bank account, property, and everything else that your LLC has will stay the same. The only thing you will need to do after the conversion is update your principal place of business with your vendors, bank institutions, and the IRS.
4. What are the benefits of converting to the State of Florida?
You will no longer have to pay taxes or fees in the home state of your LLC (unless you continue to do business there). Florida is a pro-employer state and has strong liability and asset protection. Pass-through entities pay zero income taxes in the State of Florida. Florida is also one of the fastest-growing states in the United States.
